About us at 'the Connection'
The Cross Country Connection is Ian Goldstone, Chris Waller and a team of mountain biking and ski enthusiasts. Together they are The Connection for mountain biking in Whistler each summer! The idea stems from a need to provide Whistler with a knowledgeable and reliable source for all aspects of mountain biking.
In the winter our location continues as the hub for those who can't get enough of the trails, moving to skis and snowshoes!
Ian Goldstone
A local Whistler resident for 17 years, Ian loves riding the trails throughout the Whistler area and knows both the skills of challenging terrain and the loveliest spots throughout the Lost Lake network to share with you.
Ask Ian about any trail, or better yet, book him for a tour or lesson to take your riding to the next level. You'll be glad you did.
Chris Waller
Chris brings fresh ideas and a new level of commitment to the cross country ski and biking scene in Whistler. As a certified Level 4 CANSI instructor (the highest level attainable), Chris understands what a quality recreational sporting experience can be and wants to provide that opportunity to the visitors of Whistler and locals alike. He brings his passion for wheels and skis to his work and looks forward to the challenge of developing the potential of Lost Lake Cross Country.
Most Honourable of Mention
Ian and Chris comprise far from the entire operation. We rely tremendously on our other certified instructors, shop staff, volunteers, friends and family. Without them little of this would be possible.
Finally, there is The Resort Municipality of Whistler. Working with the Municipality has us teamed with a host of dedicated people, all have stepped up to the challenge of developing Lost Lake's trail network.
