The Mountain Bike season is really great this year. We are open 10am – 5pm everyday throughout the summer.
We started the spring off early, featuring new Trail Plus bikes for riding on the exciting mixed conditions just after the snow left us. We rent these bikes, equipped with special tires that tame even packed ice, at the same rate as our hard tail bikes. You can be sure you’ll see these bikes extend our shoulder seasons.
A brand new model for 2016, the Torrent is Norco’s first ever 650B Plus trail mountain bike. Designed from the ground up with Trail geometry, 45mm rims, and 3” tires, the Torrent is an aggressive hardtail mountain bike with a quick but stable manner that will have riders whooping with joy on flowing singletrack, dominating rocks and roots on technical downhills, and tackling steep, loose climbs with ease. Novice and experienced riders alike will benefit from the increased traction and control of the Torrent.

January 2013 one of our staff participated in a race in Bedrichov, Czech Republic.
It was a beautiful day, -12 C and sunny skies.
5000 people entered the race they started in 8 waves of 600 each.
January 2015…here we come!

Healthy Eating recognizes our café
The popular blog, Healthy Easting in Whistler, has recognized The Connection Cafe as one of eight top casual cafes in Whistler.

Walking directions: From Whistler Village Square – walk north along the Valley Trail which follows Fitzimmons Creek downstream. You’ll be between the creek and the public parking lots, then pass under the bridge that is Lorimer Road. The trail crosses a foot bridge to the Lost Lake PassivHaus.

We’ll be one of the first bike shops with a rental fleet of Norco’s new 29’er, the Charger 9. Check it out.

Yes, we will be open Saturday May 16th 10am – 5pm for the mountain bike season.
The big news about this summer is the emergence of two new bikes with larger wheel sizes: ’29ers’ and 650B or 27.5″ These larger-wheel rides are going to be all the rage this summer and we will be one of the first bike shops to have a fleet of Norco Sight Carbon C7.4’s, Charger 7.1 hardtails, Specialized Enduro Comp 650B and Stumpjumper Evo 29ers.

Our casual bikes and kids bikes are great rides. The extensive network of mountain bike trails in Whistler, especially Lost Lake have earned a strong reputation (#5 now on Trip Advisor).
Add to that the Connection Cafe with great coffees and treats, and you can see that summer is on its way.

We’ve updated our site to provide you with a direct link to a page with the daily grooming report. Look under the LOST LAKE menu above and pull down to GROOMING REPORT.
Instead of the link to a PDF, which presumes you have Acrobat or some other PDF viewer, this new page is designed to provide you direct access to the information, with an option to zoom in or open it in a new viewer. Please let us know how this is working for you.

Daily grooming report
The daily grooming report for the Lost Lake trail system is now available online. Updated each morning, the one-page report is posted to reflect the status of all the main trails and related conditions. It is a single page PDF document you can review online and/or print. The link will be available through our web site.
